I currently live in Texas, as the U.S. is growing to be a more and more hostile place for myself, my queer friends, and my greater found-family. The efforts documented on this website are being made to do my best to ensure the safety of this resilient group made vulnerable by the current sociopolitical climate promoting fascism, homophobia, transphobia, racism, and the othering of any individuals deemed not to fit into the idea of America created and perpetuated by M/A/G/A.
The conservative family which reared and raised me brought me up and still live in rural Texas. Over the years, this family challenged or ignored aspects of my Transgender and Queer identity, but have recently moved from ignorance to repeating some of the worst ideas the fascist M/A/G/A state has propogated regarding queer and transgender individuals back to me.
This down-swing in my expectation of support from the people who raised me has left me feeling isolated and scared, but I have a newfound understanding of my long-time drive and desire to support my community.
In 2025, staying safe and protecting myself and my community must be my priority, and while I have much to learn regarding the assaults being made against the rights of queer and trans folks today, my assumption is that you may also want to learn more. This website will work to document updates needing-to-be-shared regarding a variety of community-based, information-sharing efforts and house the resources created by the BestFantasyWorstFear community project.
